Quite rich, if still a hint reserved at opening, this is clearly a fine dinner wine already. The nose offers scents of blackberry, black currant, dark sour cherry, licorice root, forest floor spice and baking spice scents in fine harmony. I shows both richness and grip on the palate, where fruit dominates and mineral undercurrents bring more apparent dryness to an otherwise long, flavorful finish. Certainly a fine steak wine now, it will grow in elegance over the next few years.
