The nose of this this rich and well-evolved Cabernet is endowed with black currant, mulberry and dark cherry fruit scents, along with savory notes of clove, cedar, vanilla and a hint of dark earth. On the palate, brighter flavors of black raspberry and dark sour cherry find harmony with suggestions of eucalyptus and laurel, tobacco and baking spice. It is medium rich in body through a long if slightly less evolved finish. A fine wine for steaks and roasts already, it will be better next year. It is a notable bargain.
